Upcoming Anthology Release
Updated: Aug 29, 2019
This week we are focusing on collecting our final revisions for our second anthology, Tales of the Siblings-Not-So-Grim. As much as we enjoyed reading each story, now we have to button down and work on getting them all polished and ready for publication. Self-published authors recognize the process of line edits, contact with cover artists, formatting, all that fun stuff. Most people dread this part of the "publishing game" but I rather enjoy it.
Hard work it most certainly is, but I always love that sense of accomplishment I feel along the way. We are collecting these raw stories from various authors who have their own unique style of writing and preparing them for the world to enjoy. I always relish discussions with cover artists because even if we have an idea of what we want, it is always nice to get a different take on what will work and what may not. Then seeing the samples and evolution of said cover? Amazing to me.
This anthology will have more of a light-hearted feel than the previous. That isn't to say that some stories won't get dark, because let's be honest, most fairy tales are. But where Still Standing addressed bullying, the stories in Tales will each have their own separate theme. What they all have in common is magic. Look forward to compelling characters, tragedy, triumphs, fast-paced action, and more.
Tales of the Siblings-Not-So-Grim will come out in November of this year, exact release date forthcoming.
